AIS Boat Inspections
Tournament regulations require that each boat participating in the Frank Schneider tournament be inspected for aquatic invasive species at a DNR-certified inspection location before it is put into any tournament waters for fishing or pre-fishing. The ONLY exceptions are if the boat has been in the same zone in which you will be fishing and nowhere else OR if it has been out of any water and completely dry for a minimum of 30 days prior to the tournament or any pre-fishing.
Included in the confirmation information mailed to each participant is aTournament Registration Card. Every contestant must check one of the choices on the left-hand side of the card. If you are a boat owner and checked choice number 2, please complete the upper portion on the right-hand side of the card when your boat is inspected. If the inspector indicates that your boat must be decontaminated, please fill out that portion of the card also.
You will need to turn in the completed Tournament Registration Card on Thursday, September 8, (or Friday, September 9 if you are fishing a Saturday/Sunday entry) before you start fishing in the Tournament.
