LIVE LEADERBOAD FOR THE 2024 GEORGE WAHL MEMORIAL MUSKIE TOURNAMENT

100% of Proceeds Go Back to the Metro-Area Muskie Fishery

Participating in the George Wahl tournament is a good way to ensure that the quality of our local fishery will continue for years to come.

Anglers can fish their choice of lakes. An awards program at Thorne Bros. will follow a day of fishing. The grand prize is given by draw of all anglers who register a fish in the tournament. Prizes are given to the top five anglers and top junior.

You can register on-line through Monday, September 22. You may register in person through closing time Friday, September 27 at Thorne Bros. in Blaine. Entry fee is $50 per person or $100 for a family package of two adults and two juniors or one adult and three juniors.

Funds raised at the George Wahl Memorial Muskie Tournament have enabled the Twin Cities chapter to purchase and stock over 10,000 muskie fingerlings in White Bear Lake, Bald Eagle Lake, Lake Independence, Lake Waconia, Lake Minnetonka, and the St. Croix River over the past several years. The chapter has also been able to provide funds to the Minnesota DNR to purchase equipment for their hatcheries and to provide pit and floy tags for their studies on stocking.

George Wahl was the inventor and manufacturer of the Eagle Tail lure who passed away in 2008. The tournament was conceived as a way to honor George’s love of muskies and muskie fishing, his contribution to the muskie fishing industry, his generosity sharing information with others, and his encouragement to muskie anglers.
