The Frank Schneider Memorial Muskie Tournament is Muskies, Inc.’s oldest fishing contest. It is a Catch-Photo-Release event. Every muskie caught during the tournament is released. Tournament waters include over 20 lakes in northern Minnesota.

Placement is determined by a point system. The top 10 finishers and top 3 juniors receive a plaque, rod and reel, and line. The first place finisher receives a week stay at Red Wing Lodge on Sabaskong Bay, Lake of the Woods.

Each contestant registering a qualifying muskie is entered into a Grand Prize* drawing. There are three chances to win the Grand Prize, which is divided into three equal amounts. Grand Prize will be awarded by a drawing at the Awards program on Sunday, September 13 at the Northern Lights Casino Event Center.

Entry fees are $110 for adults, $40 for juniors, and $200 for a family of 2 adults and 2 juniors or 1 adult and 3 juniors. For adult and junior anglers who find it difficult to get off work or school on Friday, we offer a 2-Day Saturday/Sunday only option at $100 for adults, $30 for juniors, and $180 for a family.
