Hugh C. Becker Grant Recipients
The Hugh C. Becker Grant Committee of the Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies, Inc. is pleased to announce the recipients of grants for 2026. With these awards, the total of benefits issued since the beginning of the program in 2008 will be over $2,480,000.00. For 2026, amounts totaling $134,000.00 were dispersed:
- $2,117.00 to Star of the North Muskies Inc Chapter 15 for pit tags, guns and readers.
- $3,500.00 to Youth Conservation Alliance (YCA) for their youth fishing/education programs.
- $1,000.00 to Illinois Muskie Tournament Trail for their scholarship program.
- $3,500.00 to Musky Mission Complete for their Veterans Outing.
- $5,253.32 to Minnesota DNR-New London Fish Hatchery for equipment.
- $4,500.00 to Bemidji/Cass Lake Muskies, Inc. – Chapter 46 for the MN FISH Telemetry Study.
- $3,500.00 to Youth Heritage Outdoors (YHO) for the Minnesota State High School Muskie-Fishing Championship program in coordination with the Muskies, Inc. chapters in Minnesota.
- $7,000.00 to Fishing for Life for their youth muskie-fishing programs.
- $750.00 to St. Cloud Chapter of Muskies Inc. #37, for their area youth events through Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
- $400.00 to St. Cloud Chapter of Muskies Inc. #37, for local DNR equipment.
- $750.00 to St. Cloud Chapter of Muskies Inc. #37, for rental of Lake 12 rearing pond.
- $2,000.00 to Shawnee Muskie Hunters – Chapter 28 of Muskies, Inc. for their High School Muskie Tournament.
- $1,000.00 to Shawnee Muskie Hunters – Chapter 28 of Muskies, Inc. for aerator motors.
- $3,000.00 to Shawnee Muskie Hunters – Chapter 28 of Muskies, Inc. for pinhead minnows.
- $1,400.00 to Shawnee Muskie Hunters – Chapter 28 of Muskies, Inc. for one acre pond netting.
- $500.00 to Shawnee Muskie Hunters – Chapter 28 of Muskies, Inc. for trap nets.
- $5,000.00 to Minnesota DNR-Waterville Hatchery for water quality equipment.
- $9,000.00 to the Minnesota Muskie and Pike Alliance (MMPA) for a state lobbyist.

- $3,000.00 to Capital City Muskies, Inc. for stocking fingerling fish on the Madison, WI area lakes.
- $2,000.00 to Chicagoland Muskie Hunters – Muskies, Inc. Ch 03 for stocking Lake Geneva, WI.
- $2,000.00 to Three Rivers Chapter 16 of Muskies, Inc. for minnows for the Linesville, PA Hatchery.
- $1,000.00 to Three Rivers Chapter 16 of Muskies, Inc. for their youth programs.
- $2,350.00 to Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies, Inc. for the MN High School Muskie Tournament.
- $7,000.00 to Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies, Inc. for the Vets Home Opener.
